Please note that it is possible to amend and resubmit the grant application form multiple times provided that the submission deadline has not yet expired. Applicants are recommended to save and submit their application once it has been completed and to submit any amended applications on an ongoing basis. In this way applicants can ensure that the most up-to-date version of their grant application is registered in the Research Council’s online submission system at all times.
The objective of the RWE Dea scholarship program for music is to maintain and strengthen the ties between Norway and Germany in the field of classical music.
The program encompasses studies in music performance (tuition in instrument, voice or conducting) and composition.
The target group is advanced music students and younger musicians from Norway.
The program provides scholarships to pursue higher studies in music or professional training at German music academies, music colleges and universities, or private tutelage under a German music teacher of the applicant’s choice.
Advanced music students - preferably Master's or diploma-level students - and graduates who have recently completed music education programmes.
The annual budget framework is NOK 160 000.
