For CLIMIT Calls:
A list with the project titles of all applications under processing will be published on the Research Council website.
Please note that the project summary may be forwarded to the referees when they are asked to assess the grant application. The project title and the project summary should therefore not disclose sensitive information.
Grant proposals will be assessed by independent, impartial and qualified referees. The referees will have access to the entire content of the grant application.
This web site covers calls for the Norwegian CLIMIT programme and the European ACT consortium.
The focus of the CLIMIT programme is on technology related to carbon capture and storage (CCS). The programme is administered jointly by the Research Council and Gassnova, and is targeted towards research, development and demonstration of CCS technology.
The objective of the programme is to accelerate the commercialisation of CCS by providing financial support for research, development and demonstration.
This includes activities addressing:
The programme provides funding for activities within all phases of development and commercialisation of new solutions.
Nine European countries are joining forces and making funds available for research and innovation actions related to CO2 Capture and Storage (CCS). The initiative is called ACT – Accellering CCS Technologies.
The ambition of ACT is to facilitate the emergence of CCS via transnational funding aimed at accelerating and maturing CCS technology through targeted innovation and research activities.
The following countries participate in ACT: Norway (coordinator), Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
The national funding agencies participating in ACT are supported by funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

The budget for the R&D part of the CLIMIT programme (administered by the Research Council) is NOK 105 million for 2016. There is, in addition, an open-ended call for proposals at Gassnova, which has an annual budget of approximately NOK 125 million for development and demonstration projects.
The budget for the ACT call is Euro 41 M for the Call launched 7 June 2016.
