Knowledge-building projects with user involvement promote long-term, industry-oriented researcher training and enhance expertise among researchers in thematic areas that are essential to Norwegian trade and industry.
BIA is open to all branches of industry and thematic areas. BIA provides partial financing for ambitious R&D projects in areas that are not eligible for funding under Research Council programmes with a thematic or industry-specific focus.
SkatteFUNN is one of the Research Council's most widely accessible funding instruments. Under this scheme, all businesses subject to taxation in Norway are eligible for a tax deduction of up to 20 per cent of the costs related to R&D activity.
