The list below contains information about RCN's calls for proposals. Normally the Norwegian version of a call will be published in our Norwegian website before the English version is ready. Some calls for proposals will only be published in a Norwegian version.

Note: In case of a conflict, it is the Norwegian call for proposal which as a rule is the legally binding version.

    Up to NOK 3 million in funding for researcher networks

    Svalbard Strategic Grant (SSG) - funding for workshops and cooperation projects

    Up to NOK 2.5 million in total is available for workshops and cooperation projects that promote the strategic objectives of Svalbard Science Forum, including coordination and collaborative efforts in research activities in Svalbard, pilot studies and planning of large projects and applications. The application must be submitted by a Norwegian partner.

    NOK 28 million for knowledge-building projects for the educational sector

    Projects that promote competence development in a broad sense through active user involvement and close cooperation between research, education and professional practice. Competence may be developed in a variety of ways, e.g. by strengthening research capacity, renewing practice in ECEC institutions, schools, training and educational institutes, and enhancing formal research expertise.

    Funding is available under the Research Council’s new Transport 2025 programme for Researcher Projects and Knowledge-building Projects for Industry. The latter is also open to public sector actors, who can take part on an equal footing with companies.
