Polar research is the theme for the Research Council’s Arctic and Northern Areas Conference 2012. This year the Research Council’s Polar Day activities will be incorporated into the conference.

Key topics to be discussed during the conference include resources, technology, climate, the environment and geopolitics.

Registration

You may register for the conference, as well as purchase airline tickets and overnight accommodation, by going to the registration webpage. Practical information about travel to Svalbard is available there as well. It is possible to extend your stay if you wish. The registration deadline is 12 October 2012.
