Attachments in pdf-format

All attachments to grant proposals must be submitted in pdf-format. Applicants themselves are responsible for converting their attachments to this format before submission.

Word documents may be converted to pdf-files using a number of different types of software. Some of these products are available for purchase and installation on the user's own PC, while others may be used directly over the Internet for a small fee. Free software for pdf-conversion is also available (see below).

For Macintosh (OS X) users, there is a pdf-conversion facility built into the system that enables them to store their documents in pdf-format from any application program.

Free software

Pdf995 is a free conversion program for PCs. The program creates pdf-files via the "print" command, not through the "Save as" function. Users must download and install both the "Converter" og "Printer Driver" functions.

OpenOffice is an open access office suite with functionality similar to MS Office. The OpenOffice suite contains a built-in pdf-conversion facility.
