From idea to research project

Our advisers can answer your questions and discuss how you can develop your idea into a project.

Questions about SkatteFUNN?

All enterprises that are liable to taxation in Norway are eligible to apply for a tax deduction for research and development costs under the SkatteFUNN R&D tax incentive scheme. Contact our SkatteFUNN advisers if you are unsure whether your enterprise qualifies for support under the scheme.

Feedback on your project concept

Companies may, at any time, submit a project concept for feedback from a Research Council adviser. Submissions should be made to prosjektide@forskningsradet.no. Visit our web pages for more information about our various schemes.

Advisers throughout Norway

The Research Council’s regional representatives can answer questions and discuss opportunities that can help you to move forward. These representatives are located throughout the country and are usually based at Innovation Norway's regional offices.

Take advantage of competence brokering

Competence brokers are available to discuss opportunities and to bring companies together with relevant researchers. Read more about competence brokering on the Programme for Regional R&D and Innovation (VRI) webpages (in Norwegian).

The EU and Horizon 2020

Do you have questions about calls for proposals from the EU and Horizon 2020? The Research Council’s National Contact Points for the EU can answer questions and provide information about the opportunities available through European calls for proposals. A list of the National Contact Points for the various subject areas is available here. You can also contact the EU networks established by the Research Council to help mobilise enterprises to seek funding under Horizon 2020

Looking to cooperate outside Europe

The Research Council has contact persons for individual countries and geographic regions who can answer questions and provide information about opportunities for research and innovation cooperation in non-European countries.
