Below is a list of the Research Council of Norway’s contact persons for various activities that are related in some way to the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.
JRC is a separate Directorate-General of the European Commission that ensures the knowledge base required to formulate, implement and monitor EU policies in a number of areas. JRC comprises 7 research institutes that serve the community’s interst.
The ETPs are arenas in which business and industry unite to solve their research needs. The Commission launched ETP to achieve greater integration of the needs of business and industry in the EU’s R&D programmes. There are currently 36 ETPs.
EIT aims to improve cooperation between industry/the business community, research and education in order to enhance Europe’s innovation capabilities. EIT will facilitate the establishment of networks connecting academia, industry and education.
ESFRI aims to promote the establishment of future common European research infrastructures. The planning of three infrastructures in Norway is part of ESFRI’s roadmap.
AAL supports the development and testing of ICT-based products and services with a view to improving the quality of life of the elderly. The Research Council of Norway administers the scheme and contributes funding for Norwegian players.
ERA-NET aims to coordinate different countries’ national research programmes and activities. The participants in ERA-NET are the research-funded organisations in Europe.
